help cat back install

me and my friend just installed a perrin down pipe and a logic performance catback on my evo viii...took it for a test drive and all of a sudden there's a lil clanking sound...come to find out it's the drive shaft hitting against the mid pipe...we used a longer hanger to drop it a little before because it was touching the drive shaft when we installed it...the slightly longer hanger got it separated to about 1 1/2 - 2 inches apart. has anyone else had this problem on an exhaust install? should i extend the hangers down more? any info would be greatly appreciated.

That cat-back should not touch anything. My guess is it wasn't installed properly, or it's a faulty product. I've installed that EXACT cat-back myself with 0 fitment issues.
