Comp stage 5 clutch review?
Comp stage 5 clutch review?
Well one of the springs just popped out of my act clutch, Its an ACT Xtreme with a 6 puck sprung disk. I loved this clutch but im thinking of trying something new. I know comp had some issues with their clutches a while back but I havn't heard any recent reviews. Opinions?
and before anyone says it....... A twin disk is a little out of my price range at the moment.
thanks!

I ran the comp stg 5 and loved it , if your around 350whp i dought there is a better clutch for similar money.
When you lost your spring did it make any noise\warning beforehand , possibly a tinking noise upon throttle input??

It gave me absolutely no warning, it felt fine and wasn't making any odd noises. I just did a 3rd gear pull and pushed the clutch in and after that it wouldn't go into gear. What is the stage 5 rated at?
I dunno what its rated for , i was around 400whp and it was pushing the limit , wore out a little quicker then i hoped , but i also did a lot of launching on it and autox .
The thing drove like a stock clutch never made noise .

I ran the stage 5 Comp clutch and wasnt to happy with it alot of chatter and the 4 puck disc broke a pad/ear off at around 1500 miles. Comp warrantied it for me but I got the stage 4 clutch instead of the 5 and they threw a new light weight fly-wheel in with it for my trouble and I couldnt be happier with the stage 4.
