Damn, you people have me motivated to get some cams. I guess
i never really read into them that much and had know idea the results. I guess I would go with the 264/264 setup as I hate the choppy idle. 30+ hp, that's outstanding. Future mods Hks 30th,downpipe,cams, tuning. I tink I'll be happy with that.

I want the 264 HKS cams as well, but I am conserned about passing the emmisions test (air TAX). Has anybody with the 264's actually passed or failed an emissions test?

How's the fuel economy? Do you guys upgrade the fuel pump at the same time you put in the cams?

From what I've read, fuel consumption is increased - gas mileage plummits.

With the increased airflow from the head and higher lift, after tuning the top end should be pretty strong at 22 lbs of boost. I'm looking forward to the results. I'm currently running HKS 264/264 combo, which has been very satisfactory, but this new setup should better complement the headwork.

let us know how these cams idles bc. 11.5 lift is the most lift i've seen for any cams

Due to the shorter duration, the cams idle very well. Better than the HKS 264/264 combo I had previously, with no tuning adjustments.

The price you quoted is about what I paid. The performance increase is major, however, you need the supporting mods to get results. Tomei procams are used by some high hp cars -- Like this one:

Dunno why everyone just keeps getting hks cams, from everyone I talked to, Tomei cams are the way to go for the lift and dependability. I hear Jun cams are known to snap -_-

There is a even more radical cam out for the EVO from Garage G/Force Engineering which sports a 280 duration and 11.8 lift both intake/ehaust. Imagine how it idles.
