02 housing Gasket

I really really thought through 20+ threads of searching I would of found the info I was looking for as common as this is.

02 housing gasket, between the housing and turbo needs replacement when installing a new 02 housing. (or should be replaced, even though many stated they don't use a gasket).

I have a megan 02 housing, looking for a good quality gasket. (don't want it blowing out in a yr)
Mits.parts.net has it fo $38.... but seriously there's no way this gasket should cost half that price so were else do you guys get your gaskets from?... and not the cheap tinfoil crap from china.

and if you want to flame me go somewhere else, $40 is a legit argument not to spend on a exhaust gasket.

VENDORS????

If you have an o2 housing with external dump I would get a divided gasket, mine is leaking out of the dump at all times and making it noticeably louder if you cover it up with your foot. Here's a thread I made last week and link to a gasket for it, if you want to stick with the same style gasket thats not divided I found an o2 housing and turbo inlet gasket for like 20 bucks shipped on ebay, both were multilayer just like all of the ones going for triple the price, exact same thing basically. I went to MAP for the divided one since they were cheaper and they made my o2 housing so figured it would match up best.

perfect!
Great info and it covers both types of 02 housings.
Now this is some info others can use.
Recap:
FP sells standard 02 gasket
MAP sells an 02 dump gasket

Thanks GTijoejoe for starting this. I was about to start one after searching for hours on here.

I have the Map O2 housing and I reused the gasket and it leaks
So I was going to get the thick grimmspeed one on Maperformance site http://www.maperformance.com/grimmsp...tml?quantity=1

Anyhow, I'm thinking now I need the divided gasket that Map makes. How did yours turn out?

i am putting a Meagan racing o2 and dp in a few days. i bought it in very good condition but used o2 housing and gasket. the gasket is also in good condition but used. i noticed that the middle wall that separates the waste gate and the turbine on the turbo is black from exhaust gases, on the o2 housing. i am assuming that since the gasket is not divided, it is not sealing the divided o2 housing surface to the divided turbo outlet surface properly, specially since the gasket is so thick. i can see y this can cause turbulence, leaks, boost creep, spikes etc. not an expert, just my thoughts. 10isace how did urs turn out with the divided gasket?

I ended up getting a new OEM O2 housing gasket. It works great. No leaks.
