hta green.

i ve been searching for awhile but the it just makes me hate the search

button more. Can the people with hta green give me some input on this turbo

thinking of also going with e85 (didn't know i had one right in front of my house)

mod list: 2005 EVO 8
kelford 272 w/ fp springs
TBE
880 inj
255 pump
ams FMIC
Licp
grimspeed ebc
(also got an epm dump if i go with stock frame turbo)

450whp on pump and little under 500whp on e85 is my goal since its a DD

bro from what i herd is hta green is the ultimate street turbo... full boost around 3500rpm torquey turbo... but all that gas wasting since ur always at full boost when DD... i would prefer the 35r though it is laggy but i think its streetable just like stock frame turbos and when u want to boost its just another downshift...stock frame top end is nothing compared to 35r... just my opinion since i also am a 35r DDer

Bigger injectors for e85 is likely. Cuz not only does it flow more fuel period, but you can up that boost and need that extra fuel too.
I dont mind my green, except for highway pulls, as the fp green cant seem to flow enough air for 30psi and 8k rpms

Smaller street turbo with spool/torque/usable power band > Laggy turbo with better top end.

Just my 2 pennies,

Cheers!

I dd my 35r, and I think it is a great street turbo. A downshift and away you go. It pulls harder up top then a stock frame turbo, and keeps you out of boost a lot of the time which if youre tuned correctly should keep your MPG's in check. I would say for a street car keep the 35r, if you want to do auto x or road racing ditch it and go with the green.

the 35r is better for the stock motor then the green will be. the green will make a lot more trq that can end up windowing the block

I love driving 35R over my 9 turbo. I was always in boost with stock turbo, I hated it. Now with 35R, I never go into boost unless I want to. Oh I love the top end.

I think 450whp on pump on an '05 is going to be a stretch with that parts combo. E85 and 500whp should be doable, though. You may also want to look at a BBK variant or an FP Red.

His motor is getting rebuild at shop. It is part of reason he is thinking to switch since turbo is out of the car.

I have an HTA green on my car and love it. Check my signature for the mod list. It put down great power with meth injection and pretty decent power on pump gas. Though it might not have all the top end that a 35r would have, it has plenty of usable power, which is what you want on the street, unless you are just roll racing and brake boosting the **** out of it. Spools like stock, but makes way more mid and top power. check the dyno section for my graph.

I would look more towards a Red or similar flowing snail, it seems to fill the happy medium quite nicely!

So the green is to overkill ? I was planning on getting the 73HTA green next year.

Red is bigger than the Green. IMO the Green may not be enough for what you're looking for, although it'll be close power wise and have great spool.

Red will make power nicely. But with some lag. IMHO I think the black and red are better suited for upgraded motors and/or e85. The output capabilities and boost will not be achieved on pump gas and stock bottom ends. I have always been a fan of faster spooling streetable power. Roll racing isn't really my thing, nor is drag racing. My setup holds its own, but is just way more fun to drive this way. On meth(windshield washer fluid) its high 470s with tq capped under 400 for the sale of the stock block. But that's just my .02cents. Even though I have VD numbers and graphs I'd like to get some 100% methanol and get I the straightest most flat road before I start throwing numbers around. Either way, it's awesome power on the street that hits fast and pulls untill redline not tapering. Good Luck
