Need a step by step engine removal guide for evo 5

hey guys was wondering if anyone could give me a step by step guide of removing/installing a new 4g63 for my evo 5, if anyone could give me a link to where i can purchase a manual to do this id be happy as *****

This site is over 90% USA users and they mostly have EVO 8/9/10 so you might be out of luck here. I think an engine removal guide for any evo 4-9 will be close enough. You should be able to fill in the gaps. Anyone point out any obvious differences. Have you got an engine crane?

I recommend taking the gearbox and transfer out with it, makes it easy to align the clutch and less chance of damaging stuff

ive done the whole thing on my 5.....drop the whole lot out the bottom in one lump engine,gearbox and transfere box.

Start by removing all things like intercooler pips air filter etc to get some space, then its just a case of removing anything that fizes the engine to the body of the car.

There is no specific guide to how to remove it as if your going to undertake such a task you should have the general know how of what to do.

just wondering , would i need to remove the drive shaft aswell to drop the transfercase/gearbox/motor in one big lump?

you dont have to, but it will make it easier.
Leave it connected to the rear diff, and just unbolt the 2 middle hangers
