About to set my car ablaze.

Alright, so I changed my cams from BC 272's to GSC S2's. I followed the popular Youtube video, as well as the EvoMoto install guide. Yes, I verified the trigger wheel, cas, is all in right. The car starts, runs for a few seconds and shuts off. The timing is on.
Here's the crank at TDC:

Here are the cams at TDC. The cams are in the EVO slot on the cam gear, NOT THE DSM SLOT. Thus, the pin should be facing up at TDC, correct? That is TDC on the cam. The pin lines up with the mark on the valve cover.

I need this POS to run, and I'm sick of everyone telling me a different answer about my cam gears being in the right position or not. Are they? I have AEM EMS, so could it just be my tune being off because of the cams? I need to get this car tuned in the next week, and am really getting frustrated as I have built f*n motors before, but can't get this stupid Evo to run right after a simple cam install.

I got dibs on the AEM EMS should you decide to torch your Evo.

you can also try retarding the exhaust cam a couple degrees, that should increase vacuum a little.

Haha I knew that was gonna happen.

But seriously, does the car look timed right?

Thanks again. I'll put that on my list of things to test out.

How do you know the exhaust cam gear is timed correctly? It looks like the dowel pin on the cam is close to 12 o'clock but you're gonna have to turn the cam gear counter-clockwise 90* to make sure it's on the right tooth. The timing mark on the valve cover is at 12:30.

There's a mark on the teeth of the cam gear that's hard to see due to the flash. You can see it if you look closely.

if your crank is at TDC, your cam gears are at the 3 o'clock position, when they need to be at the 12 o'clock position. here are your 2 pictures fixed on how your cam gears are suppose to be for TDC.

So you're saying this?

So, the dowel pin will be at 9:00 when the cams are at TDC?

Dowel pin needs to be pointed up, regardless. The little dowel pins in the cam gears, even if they were turned the other way as someone said, if the laser etched mark is lined up with TDC, it would not change how the car behaves right now (belt and cams would still be in the same position as they are now.

Any codes being thrown?

Aaron

i dont think he is off. worst case it would be 1/2 tooth which shouldnt make much of a difference. there is no way he is 90 degrees off, the car starts and sputters. he is also on aem. im 99% sure its just the massive change in cam timing thats causing the no idle problem.

Haha I think I'd have some bent valves if that was my issue.
