I don't have 600awhp, but do daily my car. I have a 2.0, not a 2.3

I also have eagle rods which nobody here likes, lol, since 209K.
Map sold them to me and say they can last, but not to 600. Just watch your torque.

I also have the Wiseco pistons, just not the hd's(would have liked to).

ARP studs, main and head. Original crank would be fine, just magnaflux your old one, especially at the radius of the 4th rod(I have seen three that were cracked)

As for the clutch, the twin disc or triple would be needed for the 600.

But as others have said 600 is not that great of a daily.

I'm very happy with my car, I just flip the map switch and go E85 for more power,LOL

Good luck

The best daily driver set-up is a stock turbo/block with boltons. Once you begin to build, you start down a long, dark path. It's a very satisfying journey once you reach the end, but the problem that comes is the "end" changes all the time.
Save yourself some money, save yourself some time, save yourself some headache. Go enjoy your car.

List of parts I've heard so far..

-Wiseco HD Pistons
-CP pistons
-Eagle rods
-Manley bearings
-manley rods
all the ARP Studs full motor
New Gaskets
i got a single walhbro pump. should i put a double pumper??
Do i have to give it a head job??
Bigger injectors???

My goal is to Hook and support a FP BB Black.... on and MR 6 speed
We have a customer with more or less that exact build. He currently makes 590 at 35psi on E85.

He has a Magnus, S2s, ported head, 1450s, BR double pumper, SD, ETS 1.5" header, 3" TBE, ER2.0L. If it had a dump it would be over 600 I feel. A 2.0 needs more boost to make the same power as a larger motor because of adjusted airflow through the motor being less with less displacement.

i see he want to do it on a 6 speed i plan on building my engine to a 2.3 with HTA3586, and still stay on my 6 speed. everyone says they suck. i have had noting but good reviews on my 6 speed, and putting down almost 400 AWHP, and its held everything ive thrown at it.

Ive heard a lot of **** on the 6 speed being crappy after 400 tq but I've seen evos here in PR that for daily drivers with more than 450 the tranny with proper oil cooler amd not WOT shifting it holds ! Remember guys I'm not planning on drag racing , maybe on or two pulls on the street but that's about it! And I think I'm gonna try to keep it under 550whp!!

Its true that the 6 speed gets sh**at on a lot. One of the reasons that happens is because many EVO enthusiasts are drag race junkies. Addicted as I was a few years back before I started road racing. Drag racing in actual events is stop light racing on crack. Once you do that at an organized strip you are hooked. I am compulsively impatient so I had difficulty waiting 3 hours for my next 13 seconds. Road Racing changed that for me, but it go even more expensive unfortunately. tires brakes broken stuff.

I believe the the key is drag racing or not. I have a 6speed and am now getting it built, as the 4th syncro is no good anymore. I am getting more and more convinced that was a clutch or clutch setup issue locking out and causing me to break the syncro. So even though I am still a fan of the 6 speed its sounds hypocritical.

What happens is a lot of guys spend lots of good money to convert to the 5 speed, so they will always justify that decision and end up somewhat 6 speed bashing on here. We can all agree that the gear sets are stronger in the 5 speed because they are thicker. OK, done. However, the 6 speed with a little extra care and driving style (no continuous hard launches) can provide decent high power results.

So, can some guys chime on a good trans oil cooler setup. That would be a great how to thread. If someone can give some guidance on parts I can do the write up.
