Clutch Or Shifting Problems Need Advice

Hey everyone I just got my first evo a lil over a week ago and having some problems shifting

Its a lil hard to get in gears when standing still and also when at high rpms plus when I am coming to a stop and I go to shift into 1st while still rolling I can feel the gears threw the shifter just feel like its never fully working

I adjusted the clutch screw and it helped a good amount but now that bolt is almost at the end and I still am having the same issuses.

Is the clutch shot or is their something wrong with the slave or master cylender

Going to blead it tonight but I don't think that's the problem

I don't know a lot about transmissions, but it may need a rebuild. What kind of mileage is on the car? Also year and 5 or 6 speed?

Do you get any grinding with it or just rough to shift?

Its got 60k on the car and not really grid if I shift without mashing the pedal to the ground the it will give a lil grind into 2 and 3 and just rough to get into the rest of the gears if I mash the clutch to the floor threw all the gears its a lil hard almost like a mustang where it has to pop into each gear

My car before this was a built Honda and I was able to go threw the gears with 1 or 2 fingers gears just slipped in.

Never drove a cable shift before but it just don't feel
right like I said it almost feels like a mustang where the gears click in

Feels like it needs to grab sooner but the pedal adjuestment like I said is allready almost maxed

look for some fluid leaking from either the slave cylinder or master cylinder.

Try adjusting the clutch some more, it sounds like that might fix it at least until you can replace the clutch. Send me a PM with your e-mail and I will send you a "how to" on the clutch adjustment.

Drain and replace the transmission fluid with some high quality transmission fluid. I like Redline MT-85, do a search for other popular transmission fluids.

Like Tom said check the slave and master cylinder for leaks.

Since you just bought this car check to be sure that it does not have a aftermarket Clutch Fork Stop that is improperly adjusted - see picture.
