silverghost - lets be honest, the evo 4g63 is no 6 bolt big rod 1g..
do you think the stock block 400tq limit is aimed at dynojet or mustang readings?

seems like there are a lot of near 400tq mustang dyno stock blocks still ticking, but over that they last for X long

348tq mustang = 400tq dynojet

dynojet. anything over stock is taking a chance when you think about it in reality.

My personal Evo 8 has been at 420whp/400wtq (proper low reading GST Mustang dyno) for over two years now, and when I drive it, I drive it.

What I have found is that every Evo is different.

He has an evo 8. 8's and 9's timing curves are different.

Good numbers, OP!

Sig says 5spd MR.

I was one of the "original" 6 speed breakers back in 2006: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/mo...*****-mrs.html Got that fixed with a built TRE, then broke that one too. Went to 5spd TRE built and never looked back.

I made 400whp/420wtq on Ivey's dynojet. 85 deg. and humid.

The attached VD graph has 2 runs. Back to back runs going up and then coming back down the same flat road. Much cooler out this time. I'd say around 50 degrees with little to no humidity. Disregard the AFR part. I dont know why but when I loaded 2 files it made it look funky.

I dunno, I ran 1 full season of abuse at 439WTQ(stock turbo) and this season at ~450WTQ(FP Red) and it never let go, though with anything, YMMV. I'm getting a built motor this winter, not because anything went wrong but because it's time to go big.

i can't believe that you have 1000CC's and 73% injector duty cycle on a relatively small turbo.

444/412 is at the edge but its not to say its unsafe. At that level I am not surprised though when something happens. I started tuning some cars lately with the torque peak high (415-430 at 5700+rpm) but deliberately late and so far, knock on wood, the rods are still in the right place.

Seemed odd at first to me as well. Then I mathed it out real fast.

One of our customers, Big Jesse, tapped out his 1000s and one pump at 606whp (DJ) at 100% IDC on the Mitsu scale at a 12.0 AFR on his HTA3582 way back.

606 x 73% is 442whp

One pump, maybe not punched (shouldnt matter) a little variation in the AFR from what the WB is reading to what the engine is actually using? 1000s maybe not 100% primo? Lots of potential for variation but it seems right with some checking.

Great numbers! Did you change the springs and retainers when you put the cams in? Assuming you used the HKS springs that came with it what retainers did you use? Thanks!
