Help me get to 400whp

Hello All!

Please see my mod list below. What can I do in addition to get to 400awhp? I wanna do it on 91 octane pump gas and stock bottom end. I currently have about 340hp/300tq on mustang dyno.

how much boost are you running on the current set up? also a ported intake manifold and 65mm TB would help a bunch. 340whp is pretty stout already.

You would think with your mods you'd have already gotten there. I have same turbo with no cams and I was a little short too. I picked up a SpoolinUp COP and it feels like I added 10whp.

He said his was on a mustang dyno...so he is actually making a good bit for what he has.

Get a new tuner you should be way over that with that setup. Even mustang #s you should be there by now. Just noticed you said on 91 octain. I would look into a Labonte meth kit with a #7 or 10 jet and a 50/50 mix. Also as someone said ported intake and 65mm tb.

But the 91 is a limiting factor too

Yes but with the 50/50 mix it will actually help some. It will also keep your interrior heat to a minimum which will help with teh 91 gas. 93 would be better but if it isn't available thats the best he can get. I suggested the Labonte kit being I have one installed but went e85 because it has a built in fail safe.

No meth for me. I'll be road racing the car so wouldn't be the safest choice. I wish I had access to e85. Seems like everyone is making huge power with the switch to corn. Would ported IM/TB, UICP, and spoolinup cop get me to 400?

How is meth not safe if you don't mind me asking? You put 5 bottles of heet in a 1 gallon container fill the rest with distilled water how is that not safe?

^^When the system fails. I'd prefer not to add the complexity.

Anything can fail. Meth works great! I have been running it on my Mustang for 4 years.

As far as the 400hp goes, what does it run at the track? A dyno is a tuning tool and they all can read different. On a different dyno you could already have 400hp. MPH at a track will show you the hp you are making. That is why we don't race dyno's.

Very interesting - powerwise I have VERY similar mods to you, except less aggressive cams (GSC S1's), higher boost (26psi), and 93, etc.

Definitely recommend the spoolinup COP, you will pick up smoothness/small amt of power there, and then after everything I've heard recently, I'd get off the Reese tune, maybe contact Mitch@AMS.

btw, how much difference is there with that particular mustang compared to a dyno? I just brushed 400 on VD in 30deg weather, on a slight uphill actually
