Slim Fan ?

Hi all,

For those running tubular manifold with non stock turbo, did you need to switch to a slim fan?
Anyone use one of these below?

SPAL makes some of the nicest fans we've seen. They are much thinner than stock and flow very well. We carry a variety of sizes and flow rates. You will need to splice in the wiring connector. Brackets are easily made with a strip of aluminum to bolt to the stock fan mounting location or the body. Please specify if you want a push or pull fan along with the CFM.
11" Push/Pull 810 CFM $55 11" Push/Pull 970 CFM $90 12" Pull 870 CFM $60 12" Pull 1230 CFM $95 12" Push/Pull 1360 CFM $115

I had twin 12" SPAL fans with my PTE 60 Trim. They weren't necessary but it sure made maintenance in the front of the car much easier

If you just are looking into fans with that setup look into the 12" maradyne fans. Much much better then the spial. I run 2 of these myself in the evo

I mean all the technical crap looks good on paper but its not about whats on paper its whats about in your car. I argue with archatecs all the time on this crap out in the field being I am a builder. They say oh well you can do it this way and get pissed off when you hand them your hammer and tell them go ahead try to make it work.

And your fans are how much slimmer then the stock ones?
My concern is space using the ETS kit and PTE.

I run this fan with my custom v-band turbo kit. Having a shroud was important to me. It's tight with my 4" intake but it definently fits. I'm unsure how much space you will get with some of the other kits on the market.

I didn't see this post so my bad for not replying. The fans are only 3 1/8 thick.

ETS sells a slim fan for $60 shipped.
I'm assuming it works with their kit.
