O Ring Cylinder Head

Where is the best place to O ring a Head, pictures if possible. Dont bother posting BS about how I don't need it, tired of blowing thru gaskets.

If you keep blowing through head gaskets, o ringing the head might help, but, I would figure out why it keeps happening.

What's your mod list? What have you done already to prevent the head gasket from blowing?

Have you had your head decked? It could be warped.

Have you clean the surface of your block?

After your headgasket goes do you have your head resurfaced? Being the heat from possibly overheating will warp the head causeing it not to seal right. Oringed head is never a bad thing, but as binky said make sure the head is flat first before you look into it. It may save you a few bucks and may solve your prob. As far as having it oringed, you have to keep it away from any passages as best as you can. I don't have exact specs but I would contact any reputable shop on here and ask them if they will do it for you.

If your going new everything thing then I wouldn't worry about getting it machined. Unless it is used new. I don't see being the l19 studs honestly. I think the head your reusing is the issue maybe it has a warp to it or something. Being it is aluminum the slightest overheat will change the way the head is being one is cast iron and the other is aluminum. I would check there first. I know Buschur does a good job with o rings, Map I am sure does it, I know if you call Shep they can do it etc.
