HTA86 and "old" 6262 with the right options were Very Similar and i can't see why a 6266 would be worth having as how much more power can you squeeze from a 62mm wheel, i always thought the 6265 was deemed a flop?
I want to see some tangible evidence of the new 62mm turbine being so much better. I have seen the photos and while the blades are thinner having less mass, the design appears to be the same which would mean no changes in efficiency or mass flow capability.

The 6265 has its place with larger displacements or higher flowing heads. A couple examples would be a Supra or S2000, where the larger turbine would beneficial.

It could be done, the shaft size is the same as the 35R turbine I believe. However, the UHP turbine from the 35R was a fair amount better than that of the 6262, and stepping up to the 66mm may not be necessary (overkill).

Thats what happens when you beat the snot out of them everyday Nobody can say you dont use the horsepower you have available, thats for sure.

NO one has done a direct comparison of a HTA86 vs a 6266 or 6466. All we have are some very intelligent opinions.

The 6266 will allow a faster spool over the 6262 the 6466 will be laggier.

Tell us something that we don't already know.

I don't know if you're part of the Wisconsin Evo Owners on Facebook but there was a guy on there just recently (maybe a couple hours ago) that had to send his brand new FP Red in because of a bent shaft. He ordered it directly from FP too.

And just like any other Garrett and Garrett based turbos, they last longer than what Precision has to offer. Of course, don't run it max boost all the time and you might get more miles off of it.

So as far as spool and power, what is the better buy?

Hta3586
Pte6262cea
Pte6266cea?

And for the results I have seen on the 6466, that sounds like the best option out of them all. It spools pretty damn good for the size, and makes 900+hp. I think the evo x with 908whp hits full boost by something like 4200 on a built 2.0. That's insane.

I ended up going with the 6466 and have no regrets. I hit over 40psi around 5200 rpm and hold it to redline. I have made over 800hp so far and am not finished tuning. Hoping to hit 850-900 at 50psi.

That turbo should be a 900+ turbo. There is an evo x that made 908 at (I think) 43 psi. You should be able to make more power and not have to have such high boost levels.

I was running S2 cams and still running rich with moderate timing. I've upgraded to S3s and will finish the tune pretty soon. I ran across a closed loop issue that took me a little while to figure out. Hopefully in the next week or two, I'll be able to get on it again.

Curious, could you link me please?

How could someone know it's a bent shaft if it hasn't even been inspected yet?
