On lancerregister.com , all the British and Euro guys swear by the Piper cams. People should check those out to like QuantumRacing said.

If that's true, the extra cost of replacing the valve springs (and retainers?) should be considered along with the JUN cams.

I am running the HKS 264i/272e combination. No numbers or dyno sheets (yet), but the car pulls like a champ all the way to the 7600RPM fuel cutoff.
actually you are wrong, JUN cams are no different from HKS
lift is higher but only slightly, so there is no need to upgrade retainers and springs. JUN recommends using racing springs and so does HKS, but most vendors ingnore it because those are expensive. Many people on this forum have JUN, some bought stage 2, but most just got cams alone.

It all depends on what you want out of your car. You can't really go wrong with any of them. As for idle, I hvae read many posts from guys with 272's that have no problems with idle. That mostly depends on the tuning. The bigger turbo you have, the more lift you want to help spool it faster. More duration helps too. I've read that cam gears are not needed with HKS 264's. Not sure about others. If you go with Jun or Tomei I would suggest getting retainers and springs too. Better safe than sorry.

For those who are worry about idle, remember with a motec or autronic or any stand alone unit that has that option, you can always adjust the idle.

And works is proven to. these posts stating stuff without anything to back it up are getting old.
