CBRD 2.3RB and LMP turbo kit- inside
We have Chuck's car here from Tennessee- along with another from TN (will be in the evo X section shorly)...
He sent it to us a few months ago with a hole in the block on his bbk powered IX---- the failure was due to overboost (about 41psi) when a line blew off--- rod through the block---
he asked us to build him a little something special and thats what we did-- here is an overview-
CBRD 2.3RB- billet manley 100mm crank, Carillo H beam rods with CP coated pistons
CBRD Cylinder head with GSC beehives and S2 cams
CBRD LMP turbo kit, featuring a tubular manifold, vband setup, with a billet 35RB turbo and Tial 44mm MV-R gate- fully recirculated-
CBRD FMIC, IC pipes and intake with synapse recirc valve, perrin filter and vibrant maf adapter
CBRD 1.5" Racing Radiator
JMF Drag manifold and Full Blown Throttle body
AMS 1000hp fuel setup with hobbs switch for second pump
Exedy Twin HD-
CBRD plumbing with Jiffy Tite quick disconnect dry breaks on the turbo coolant lines-
The car is being tuned on tephra V7with ecu boost and map switching for 93 and E85----
Razorlab (bryan medway) was originally tuning this car remotely and we had hoped to have him come out to tune it here- so we could finally meet him in person- and get a third party tuner to give feedback on our setup- but unfortunately we couldn't make schedules meet--- so we will now be doing the tuning- with some help from Bryan if needed---
Chuck also has great taste in wheels----
Here are some pics- Ill post more as we get it buttoned up!!
Enjoy-

subtle CBRD badges on the UICP, FMIC, RAD, and block--

and here is from today-
27.4 psi on 93 octane-
peak was 522whp/408wtq-

fairly conservative on timing- especially at peak torque---
25psi right at 4300 rpm in 3rd... not bad at all
we hoped to make around 520whp on 93-- -and well... we did
E85 results coming soon!

A "no BS" operation you've got running there, impressive work.
Chad, you commented a while ago when you first released the LMP kits that they would all be WG recirulated. Is that a shop preference due to noise, emissions or some other performance oriented reason? Maybe you've answered this question already but I try to follow your build threads closely, and I haven't seen any specific info about it. Thanks...

id like to switch either to this lmp kit or maybe even go to the stock bbk bb c setup in the future. price wise i will prolly b better off sticking with the billet 35r setup i have but the. i would still have to get the tial vband setup. to many options chad u need to settle down haha.
