My rant

Okay everyone heres my messed up situation. Now after having my car worked on at a shop im noticing things with the car. For one my transfercase is leaking and this is right after I got the cars transfercase rebuilt by shep. Now the shop that I put my car into is okay but they really need a little bit more insight.

I seem to have a leak and they just cannot seem to pinpoint it at all. So now I had them replace the waterpump, all kinds of seals and they still cant seem to get it right so now I have to take my car back there. I hope the god its not my tcase or turbo thats the last thing I need. If this car dont work for me this car will be on craigslist the next day with me walking out the door like the hell with it.

The shop isntalled the Tcase. No the leak I had them inspect that after the transfercase thinking that there was an oil problem that I had from before but it wasnt that major like that. So they moved the plastic case from off the motor to do the repairs replacing the seals.

But the car is leaking I checked it myself and its leaking Tcase fluids and im staring to hear noises I think its because its leaking I hope its not because of the leak if so someones buying me a new rebuild.

Fluid is leaking im thinking its motor oil for one. But now the Tcase is leaking gear oil its like a gold almost **** yellow color. I thought it was motor oil but gear oil has that distinctive strong smell.

Thats how I know its gear oil and I looked up since I have ramps and I spotted the leak before they did man either I have really good eyes or they have bad eyes because this cant be if im spotting a leak before they can that aint right. Any help advice would be good. Cause im taking note because now my car is binding up again this time while im driving straight instead of in the turns.

you need to buy this and toss it in the t-case. http://www.amazon.com/Tracerline-TRA...749678&sr=8-15 clean all existing oil up, drive a bit and pull it into the garage, turn the lights off and point this at the t-case. http://www.amazon.com/UV-Blacklight-...0749798&sr=1-7 the leak will glow bright green.

Did they overfill the t-case and pop the pressure relief valve on the top? If they use a pressurized gun to fill the t-case, it's easy to pop the valve. As for the noise can't say what that is. But like others have said "don't drive it before you break it for real."

Might sound stupid, but please please please check the tires.

I had a friend bring his car to a shop and started to here a knocking noise.
Found out the never torqued his drivers front wheel and the damn thing was about to fall off
