Clutch restrictor pill removal long term update anyone?
It has to do something with it being on... Maybe clutch isnt fully released when on? I'm not sure how it all works.
My opinion is that the restrictor is there for a reason from the factory, to limit how fast the clutch reacts in an attempt to limit shock or stress on the drivetrain. Tards that can't shift or like to side step the clutch should not attempt this mod
What I want to know is if it'll cause me to be locked out of first gear...
Yes the problem was there with the old clutch as well.
That pill is a spring loaded one way check valve that limits "engagement" speed of the clutch not the "disengagement", taking it out won't help the problem you describe. You could try a different fluid in the trans like "LubroMoly" or Amsoil night and day difference in the feel of the shift.

the restrictor pill will not lock you out of first gear. Your clutch is not releasing, causing the lockout. lots of reasons that can cause your clutch to not release completely, most of them involve pulling the trans back out.
Can transmission fluid cause lock out on first?
I ask because they used 75-90 extra s fluid... For subies
Another thing I notice from day one is when I let go of the clutch in neutral, I can hear and see the rpm drop slightly... Is that the dragging issue people refer to?

that's normal.
They offered to replace fluids so I asked for oem. It felt slightly better till I played with adjusting the pedal. Now it's all the way up and really as high as it can be with a little play. It also seems to be a cold issue as well which is why I thought it was the fluids.
Im hoping it's not a tob issue.
The mechanic said because of my remote start and starting the car without clutching it, it messed up something that continues to spin when in neutral?tob? I'm not sure what he meant but I always start the car without the clutch and I'm wondering if this indeed messed up the tob?

Did you bleed the clutch yet? And no you don't have to remove the air box to do it, you can get at it from below and take out the pill at the same time. If this doesn't take care of the issue the installer may have F'd something up on the install.
Starting the car with the clutch engaged will have no affect on what you describe.
