Engine dies when I press clutch
the same thing happened to me when i had installed the clutch and the mechanic said it had something to do with my flywheel have no idea what he did but it meesed up my brand new clutch ... good luck with fixing the problem..
what crank did you use? If eagle crank, then its likely your problem. If oem crank, then it your HRB clearance. It requires more clearance then they tell you in the instructions.
Help!!
Ok guys, female in foreign country with hubby working out if country for extended period.
Ok today I picked up car from shop. Wasnt starting. Had bad spark plugs, bad fuel filter and faulty starter along with other non engine related issues. Leave shop, everything was copastetic. Get maybe 4 km down the road to 1st red light. press clutch, slide into neutral, of course keep clutch depressed while braking. ......engine dies. Start again while keeping clutch pressed.....dies.. drive and brake without pressing clutch, no problem. But if I keep clutch depressed, engine dies.Didn't have this prior to going to shop. No starting problems anymore. Is it possible mechanic did something to make me return?
Havent relayed this info to hubby yet as he believes intial problems were my fault, which is stupid as I was raised my dad who taught me basic mechanics. I can change brakes, oil, etc by myself....know how to tell when starter is out, etc. Looking for some answers before hitting another mechanic shop so as jot to get jacked.
