Hear me Stikilr?!? You are getting sleeeeeeeeeeeeepy. You want to hook Noize up with one heck of a deeeeeeeeeal on that XEDE.

I know. And he needs to sell me that XEDE for cheap so I can get an XEDEflash and tune it on a dyno!!

Under EVO8's handle you will see a list of mods. One of them being an intake from RMR. All intakes change the MAF reading over stock so in will run lean under some load points. I'm sure it's a richer map to compensate for those leaner load points with the intake.
Not being able to see what the car is doing on a dyno and have the ture A/F reading, better play it safe then sorry and detune the map for motor life. Custom tuning would yeld a smoother runing car with at least a 30hp gain.
I have a XEDE and Cat back and was custom tuned by Shiv from Vishnu on the same dyno that this guy is going to.
Here is the dyno graph so that you can see the diffrence between base map and custom tuning.
all on 93oct I make 231whp bone stock.
The trick is realy simple when it come to mail order maps. Follow the suggested upgrade path by the tuner of ideal results.

But there are allot of things to consider when comparing. I was tuned in September about 65f today it's closer to 0f. Also I only had a XEDE and cat back exhaust. This guy is running more mods. So he should at least gain 15whp more then me with proper tuning even at the same A/F because his turbo effencey would yield higher results.

Just a note on the intake: the suction pipe (intake pipe, whatever you want to call it - it replaces that accordion-looking unit) REALLY leans out the Evo's A/Fs... My car had a great flash done prior to putting that pipe on. After that pipe, my A/Fs jumped to 14.3s! OUCH. Al brought them back down to 11.1 and advanced the timing. I am heading up to Pruven soon to get dyno'ed and have Al do some fine-tuning then. I am glad this thread is staying civil. It's good to talk shop without worrying about nonsense.

I have the RMR pipe but it's pretty much the same as the Cusco and Ralliart except for the color. Al said he's seen them really lean out the A/Fs to dangerous points - much like mine. I think I will still go a little leaner than 11.1 - more toward 11.8s...
Shivs getting scared that me and Al are gonna smoke his HP readings on the EXEDE, im downloading my original MAP before i go to Pruven WED so i will be running a basic 93 octane MAP, so at best i would have 300...at best with a HIGHLY TUNNED EXEDE, so we will see, and I already sold my EXEDE..sorry.....Cant wait to see ya Al!!!!!
And the hook has been baited. Again, another friendly reminder to please keep the thread civil and avoid bashing and name calling.
