Thanks guys. Think I'm going to do a dual map tune, clutch, and then save up for a fp red setup and those gsc s2 cams.

^^I totally agree!!!

To the OP:

I'm glad you asked this question before buying. I just went off what I was reading on this forum as good upgrades without asking people in the know with my power goals. I ended up buying a ix turbo with low miles, but to be honest after all the gaskets, bolts, oil/water lines, turbo, etc. to convert I could have saved up a little while longer and bought a T3 set up. I've read on here that switching to a ix is worth about 15-20 hp.

Take a ride in your friends car and see if that's the kind of power you want. Then research and budget for that set up. After you get the money, get your set up and TUNE. Then enjoy for about 6 months to a year, then do it all over again

if hes at stockish boost levels the tune should be ok for now, makes no sense for it to run right if he cant shift gears with a shot clutch.

I IX turbo is a 20WHP gain give or take, look for at-least a green unless you get that Ix turbo cheap.

That's barely 350hp on a real dyno.
