Walbro fitting kits
I'm about to buy a Walbro 255lph fuel pump but have a question I cannot find the answer for anywhere. Of course I'm going for the GS342 model, and after a quick search of local websites I see I can get a universal fitting kit with it. I know some places advertise a Mitsubishi fitting kit - but with the same model number, so - are they are the same fitting kit or not? Does it even matter if they are different?

Hmmm, I don't recall asking for a website. I had already checked that one, and while it does say they cater for all of those car models, my question was - so long as I buy the GS342 model, is there really more than just one fitting kit, and if there is, will the universal version suffice.
Please don't treat me like a newbie, it was uncalled for.

Anyway on topic, another question for the greater evom community - when you installed your Walbro, did you even need the install kit? From all my searches, it looks like I could reuse a lot of OEM stuff. Cheers guys

I got in touch with some positive members of the community
Turns out that all of the websites I'd visited either didn't list the full part numbers, the wrong ones, or none at all! The correct fitting kit number is 400-847, although the Subaru kit 400-791 may work also. Don't go with the universal kit, but if you don't want a new sock for the pump, you can just buy the pump without any kit and be fine.
Once I had the right part number, I found these threads:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...t-evo-8-a.html
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...all-evo-2.html
Once I've installed mine, I'll see if I need to adjust the high/low pressure transistion table too.
