im just trying to get everything in order. i want to convert my 9 to sd. i searched and found nothing on the actual parts and things needed to be done. all i found were threads that supposedly had that info but was a ton of brewhaha about how sd works and how much better it is. i would like the actual procedure to do the swap

 

Plug your intake, get a MAP sensor and a tune. Your tuner will most likely use your fuel temp sensor, so don't worry about getting an IAT.

 

You'll need a different map sensor like an Omni 4 bar, and an intake setup for SD if you want. You can also go to a VTA bov or just vent your current one. Then get a tune. Biggest thing is getting an aftermarket map sensor and the tune.

 

does the omni install into the same place as the oem one?

You don't need iat. And you can't install the 4 bar until you're tuning it immediately or the car won't run

 

Most tuners use a patch in the tephra v7 rom that uses the gas tank temp sensor to act like an iat. So you don't need an iat. Just an aftermarket map sensor.

 

hmmmmmm, interesting. well the plan was to install all the parts im planning and tow it to the tuner.

is using that gas tank temp sensor safe to use as a iat? i just want to be sure, dont want **** going crazy
