My front diff

Well i went to hit 3rd coming out of a turn on some dirt and i heard horrible noises. On the bright side it appears to be i just blew the diff after tearing into the tcase. Since i bought the car for occasional rally cross and a weekend car do you think a jdm front diff will do or should i just go all out and get a wavetrwc My goal numbers are right around 400 whp with minimal lag and alot of durability. And yes i know there are other threads about this i was just looking for freash opinons

I would get the wavetrac, most reputable shops would recommend the same. They are capable of withstanding power outputs double of yours and can take the abuse that rallying puts on the drivetrain. The front diff is considered the weak link of the Evo's driveline.. Might as well fix it once and be done.

Its a "torsen type", heres the information off of their website.

http://www.wavetrac.net/technical.htm,

This and the Quaife are both good choices. The wavetrac is less expensive.. Both are recommended by most shops.

Another good option would be sourcing an OE Evo RS helical front diff. Good stuff, thats what I run.
