Mine is actually quiet, surprised me how quiet it is compared to the Denso pump I had in my GVR-4.
When I first installed I run the car with the back seat and cover plate off to check for leaks from hoses and I could hear it then. Just putting the cover plate on quieted it WAY down. Then after the back seat was put in I don't hear it at all

I also, was impressed at how quiet the pump was in the car. The only real difference I noticed in sound was outside the car after the install.
