Personally I think David should bolt on the BR580 and ported head. Then dyno that beast on race gas. After that hit the track and put some 11.0's-10.9's on the board at around 127-130 mph.

Dave you're to damn modest

It would be nice to see the gains, charts on 91 octane? I know its sounds wrong, but thats all we have readily available in Ca!

Then add the bigger turbo. Then swap the cams for something more aggressive. At least that's my viewpoint
2nd that... with a reflash...

Triple that....jeje

David do that head on this turbo kit... let us see your porting skills produce a 400 hp plateau from 3500 to 9500! That would be beautiful!

Oh, and David,
Did you guys clean out and polish the exhaust manifold already?! You had said earlier that when you got the prototype the inside of the manifold wasn't smooth as you wanted it but you ran it on the dyno and did your awesome numbers anyway. So did you smooth it out already so we can see what we will get if or when we buy it?

Take care,
Omar

It doesn't sound odd at all to me. While some folks really drool at the thought of being able to win nearly any highway pull, I for one think there is a fine line. I believe a similar parallel can be drawn with suspension...go to far, and it becomes unpleasant to drive. Sometimes, you have to remember who may be riding in that other seat, too

Updates....

Like I say, the casting company called last week. Tomorrow is the day the 50 manifolds are suppose to get poured. Then when we get them they go out to be CNC'd. I am going to BEG the CNC shop to hurry.

The turbo kits, when they are ready to ship, will be available with any of the 3 turbos we have now, the BR475, 500 and 580, all the same price.

We did not port the manifold, still. The new ones will need very little and we changed the internal runner design too. The regular production piece should outflow what we have on the car.

The car is parked outside now and has been for a couple weeks. We have a bunch of customer stuff to finish up and I had been working on the 4g63 powered Conquest.

David,

I see references all the time to the Evo's you tune running on pump gas, 94 octane. Maybe this is a dumb question but I live in NE Ohio and the only super unleaded gas offered is 93 octane. Is 94 octane offered at regular pumps in Wakeland but not Cleveland?

Sir,

I currently have 264/272 cams, full 3 inch exhaust w hi-flow cat, Walbro 255, and an MBC. I plan on getting your Stage 2 (is it two w the O-rings, new springs, retainers, and port n polish), some ARP studs, BR580 (still deciding which), maybe some 9:1 pistons ,and forged rods. I want a car to have a 9000RPM redline and boosts around 22-25 psi. I know I willprobably need bigger injectors, and 272s.

What do you think?

All of the Sunoco stations I have ever been to have 94 octane, this includes all of them on the Ohio Turnpike. Not sure where you have looked.

As for the cams/head/injectors questions, I answered then in the e-mail you sent to my box.

Don't suppose you will have these on the shelf before the 2nd of March will you? That is when I head back from your neck of the woods to Indiana.....

Thanks Dave for all the info I just got threw reading all 13 pages and I am eager to see more info on a possible Buschur flash for this turbo BR475. I would love to be able to have it flashed and not have to worry about it.
