White smoke coming from hood after rain?

So it rained last night and my car was outside. When I went to move it this morning, I started it up and put it in first and moved it up the driveway and I noticed some white smoke coming from the hood vent when I gave it gas. When it was idling nothing. I could only see it in the light not in the shade. I opened the hood and gave it some throttle from the engine bay in the garage and didn't see any smoke and didnt smell anything. But there was water on metal the exhaust manifold cover. Could it have just been the steam from that?

Steam. Rev'ing might have shaken pooled water off onto the manifold.

I'm going to say it was just the water being burned off as well.

Alright thanks guys. Freaked me out for a bit but I bet that it was just that. I'll pay attention next time I have to take her out and make sure there's no more smoke.

I always throw a cover over the opening in the hood when I know it is going to rain.. My exhaust, and that vent have steam coming out after a good rain. Its normal.
