Talk about cost effective, you definitely have a nice idea. I would have used this idea if I had a different test pipe, Im just sharing my experiences and telling people that the Ultimate Racing test pipe does what it says. No CEL from the start so no worries.

 

nothing wrong with ultimate racing testpipe but i have seen pics of it thats how i know it wont fit to my DP and catback. it has only two bolts on the flange. the AMS DP and catback flanges are triangular almost, they have three bolts. if it would be such a pain to get new flanges welded on i would drop the 70 bones adn be done with it.

 

Dosnt Bushur sell an adaptor that plugs into the o2 houseing for the cat that dosnt let the cel come on?

Has anyone tried this? I do belive Al told me this the other night?

I have over 3000 miles now on the anti foul adapter fix with no CEL.

 

Over 1500 here.

 

Does anyone have an extra anti-foul adapter thing that I could purchase off of them?

I used the Perrin simulator and I havn't had the CEL come on in 800 miles. The CEL came on in 10 miles after installing the turbo-back without putting the simulator in. So I'd say the simulator fixed the problem for me.

NAPA, Advanced Auto, Auto Zone, Kragen, etc... all said they had one you could get from them.

 

So your telling me if I order the Buschurr 3" TB w/o cat.................expect to have 24/7 CEL?

 

Yep, any exhaust w/o a cat will trigger a CEL unless something else is done to fool the sensor/ECU.

 

But whats the Neg effects of CEL, does the car go into any kinda limp mode?
Or is it just the annoyance of the dash light tauntung you.

 

It's just the light telling you that the cat isn't functioning. It doesn't affect anything else.

 

Any updates on this fix? How's it been working for those of you who are catless?

 

3 months later, no sign of the CEL at all.
