Great data, however this looks likes a major PITA to install.

The water temp sensor uses the same sensor wire as the IAT sensor, and both are good up to 150C. The main difference is a sealed sensor for water vs an exposed sensor for air. A plot of the calibration data I put together on the IAT sensor is below. My MAT logging patch includes this calibration data, so once you've got the sensor wired into the fuel tank temperature circuit on the ECU, you're just one patch away from logging gearbox oil temperature.

Yes, of the major shops I contacted it seemed as though Shep was the only one that had a real 'build' for the 6, addressing concerns and engineering of it. I purchased what would be considered the big daddy package along with a rebuilt TC. The details of it are in this thread, if you haven't seen this already.

MajicManRed does a great job of explaining the details. I believe I purchased the last set of that particular run of gears. So the gears 3,4,5 are not OEM. I know they do quite a bit of non OEM work, but I believe all the 'big' evo trans shops do.

I've taken my trans cooling a little further. I'm still testing what size hole I should use and the degree needed to get the most coverage.

I have purchased the above sensor some time ago but haven't found a place that had a good way to install it inline. Let me know if any of you have ideas. The sensor is a bit large which makes it difficult to place inline without obstructing flow too much.

Any consideration for just ducting some air towards the transmission from the front bumper similar to brake ducts? I know the stock undertray tries to duct some air towards the transmission. I wonder if some 3" ducting towards the transmission from the front bumper would help.
