Question HELP! Clutch master cylinder question...

Ok I'm installing a new clutch master and slave cylinder in my car and ran into something I thought was odd and was wondering if someone here could tell me if it's normal or not. When I pulled off the line that goes from brake master cylinder reservoir to the clutch master cylinder I was expecting brake fluid to pour out (my brake master is near the full mark) and nothing came out at all...not even a drop. Is this normal? I thought that the fluid would've poured out to keep the clutch master cylinder "full". Thanks for any input.

Not 100% sure on how the master cylinder operates but is there any possibility you could have a blockage or build up in the hard line?

Well I'm replacing the hardline with a STM full stainless braided line, was just wondering why the brake master isn't letting any fluid out it's reservoir, I guess I'll find out if it's normal or not after I try bleeding the system.

i just did my STM line as well, but i left the master hose on,so i can't say.i will say that if you have big hands like i do,it's a ***** to get the new line on the clutch master.i ended up putting a drop of CA on the copper crush washer on the outside to hold everything together while i fished it back in there.

also if you are using a Quartermaster clutch you will need a -3an flared union fitting (jegs or summit) for the TOB/Clutch master line connection.the QM kit comes with a fitting for a banjo bolt.

You aren't kidding about the fitting to the master, was a complete PITA!
