Machinists or technical smarts needed inside....
A bore gauge?!
When the block came back to me the main girdle was untouched so I guess they machined the bores with it. I measured the bores with the torque plate bolted and found out perfect .040" over cyls. After unbolting the torque plate I measured them again and found them 0.015mm smaller.
The stock clearance is 0.03mm.

Cradle pulls the block a little, head studs vs head bolts give different dimensions.
Anyone who machines one of these without a torque plate is an idiot!
I just measured my bores with the main caps torqued to spec (18 ft lb + 90deg) and non torqued and found the exact same measurements. Tomorrow or next night I will be rechecking the measurements with the head torqued and not torqued using arp l19 studs....kind of hoping it will make the bores expand when the head is on so I don't have to bring it back to get it honed more but if not oh well
