Any technical reason why the evo idles so rough? Once you get the revs up it's smooth, but that idle is just HORRIBLE. Maybe I should reset my ecu? Some say the grounding kit helps a little. Any thoughts?

I don't believe the idle is bad on most EVO's. You are running your AC all the time in Florida?

No. The idle is really bad though. It shakes the damn steering wheel.

Anyway, if this isn't normal, what would cause such a rough idle? (plugs are fine btw)

evos are practically street legal race cars. rough idle might be due to aggressive cam design or solid motor mounts.

Check you engine temp when you stop...see if you can touch the engine or turn on your heat. If its not almost immediately very very hot then either you have not let the car warm up properly or the thermostat could be stuck open. I just recently started having the rough idle and noticed that even after let my engine warm up for 10mins and drove for another 20mins. When I stopped it was idling rough & I was able to put my hand on the engine...it was only warm and not hot like it should have been. I talked to a mechanic friend & he said that the thermostat might be stuck open. I am going to replace my stock thermostat with a Ralliart one now...

If you "just recently" started having the rough idle, it's the plugs. Trust me.
