Could also be a bad ground.

Other issues

I'll spend Saturday tightening down and checking everything in the car. this can't be the reason why it falls on its face when I get on it on 3rd gear, shift at 7K into 4th gear and the car just sputters for about 30seconds. The sputtering is similar to when a hose pops off.

Noticed on my drive to work, the coolant temp needle was normal but 20 mintues into my 30 min. drive to work it dropped to zero.

Big Changes

Freddie,

I put in a brand new:
Thermostat
Camshaft Position Sensor
Coolant Temperature Sensor
Coolant Temperature Gauge Unit

I checked for loose clamps, hoses, ground wires, power wires, connectors, cut wires, etc. and I didn't find anything significant.

I was able to run her from a slight roll (<5mph) 1st thru 3rd gear @ 8K RPM, no issues - that the top of 4th gear, hit redline and she had a slight misfire (more of a hesitation/sag) for about 10 seconds and then it went away (when it started I just let off the throttle and let her coast).

Ran 1st thru 3rd again, strong as hell, no issues. -- I think I bumped my boost controller a couple of times while replacing my sensors and thermostat because during the run, boost was 31-32psi (solid, no fluctuations).

I just did those two runs to take it easy on her (plus the cops were out), she runs pretty rich (would like to lean her out a bit but keeping it safe/conservative). When can I get on your schedule?

I also added the AEM Digital Water Temp Gauge and AEM Digital Volt Meter. The Volt Meter bounces around quite a bit (11-ish to 14-ish while running). Is there someone out there who can tell if that is normal?

The only sensor I haven't replaced that I'm considering changing is the Camshaft Position Sensor. I'll run her again tomorrow at 30psi to see how she does and let you know.

After the car is started, voltage should never get below 13v or so. You have an electrical problem, either a ground, battery, alternator or something else. I wouldnt bother replacing any more sensors, that doesnt sound like the problem. Do you have a digital volt/ohm meter to check some things?

Tony, you will have to sort out the electrical gremlins before I can tune it again, or we will be chasing out tails again... good luck brother, I have been busy as I am moving to VA in a few weeks...

Misfire Gone!

Freddie,
Mike's recommendation to replace my valve springs turned out to be the fix for my misfire issues. I ran her straight through 2-3-4 gears, slamming the rev limiter in each gear and not a single misfire or hickup. I kept an eye on the AFR's (I haven't pulled a data log yet) and she ran a little on the rich side but it was strong.

I had all new valves, springs, guides, and seals done.

Thanks for your help through all this...Mike, You Da Man!

Tony
