Do you need to remove the Flywheel pins in order to get it resurfaced?

Just had mine resurfaced yest and he never even asked me about the pins. I dropped it off and picked it up today and the pins were back in it.

Nice, but I believe I am going to buy instead the Act Streetlite flywheel as a precaution.
