new member, questions on upgrades

Recently acquired a 06 evo mr with 30k miles. Previous owner was from downtown Chicago. Reason for selling (he told me) was because of the traffic, he is the first owner. I was glad to see the low mileage on the ad, had to buy it from him.

Current upgrades:
3" injen turbo back, beautiful sound
Short throw (not sure what brand)
Gt28 by garrett
Precision injectors (receipt says 750cc)
Upgraded fuel pump (not sure which brand but can hear it, kinda loud, when ignition on)
Ems 4 by aem, harness and plug/play

Upcoming mods:
Injen intercooler piping
Gt30 turbo and manifold
1000cc injectors
Maybe cams and valvetrain, depends on tune
Better clutch

With the current upgrades he gave me a dyno sheet, 384whp and 410tq

Question is how far can I push the internals of these motors with a good tune?

Might wanna start by thinking about that 6 speed instead of the internals. 410tq is alot for that trans. Just a thought...

500ish on the stock block with a good tune is what I have seen.

You will be able to push your internals farther than the 6spd like korizmo said.

I think keeping it around 400-420 tq is key to keeping the block alive but it is all in the tune.

pm me if you want to swap out your 28r for a 35r lol!

Smaller/Weaker gear sets crammed into the the same space as the 5speeds causing higher temps

Keep the tq low and you can run alot of hp.

6 spds don't seem to like over 400 hp from what people say. If you don't drag it you might get away with around 400 but just be aware that you will eventually have problems. As far as your mods... Injen stuff isnt very great. Its better than stock... but you should go with ETS or Buschur IC Pipes. Id check with your tuner about injectors, cause the size depends on the fuel you use and the boost you push. If you stick with 93oct and around 425hp you might not need injectors. Wouldn't hurt you at all to throw a ported intake manifold on there and you definently need an O2 housing or dump.

The trans is only a problem on Road Race cars, not the normal driving only cars. I have run the 6 speed at 400/400 for a year and a half. I don't race my car.
