evo boost problems...

hi, i have a greedy pro spec 2 boost controller set at 1.8 bar, which is high boost and 1.2 bar for low boost, but the car doesnt go beyond 1.2 bar even in high boost mode, everything was ok when i parked the car after 2 weeks i started it up went for a drive and noticed it wasnt goin to 1.8 bar, even if i change the settings on my boost controller the car doesnt go beyond 1.2 bar....

i have already checked for boost leaks, there wasnt any...

what could be the problem?

is the boost controller solenoid failed or what?

need your help...

There may possibly be a limiter somewhere Ecu/MBC (stock Ecu limits a few things regarding boost and fuel cut once a certain boost pressure is reached from what i have read not sure what models this applys to possibly 4-9) Just a guess as 1.2 bar is not an excessive amount of boost to be running only about 17Psi. only thing i can possibly think of other then that is that it is simply not able to hold past 1.2 bar and is leaking pressure out, or you are not pressing hard enough on the gas to gain desired boost pressure needed, I have never heard of a MBC that worked up to 1.2 bar but be defective and not work past it. i would honestly say possibly driving style, limiter, or pressure leak.

It's worth a try hope this helps.

Do you have a Gain/cutoff etc. settings on your MBC becasue if you do, I know on my MBC if the controller is not set properly I can put it to 2.1 bar if i want but if the gain and cutoff etc. is not set properly then it will generally limit my boost to a certain point, if you know what you are doing try mesing with the gain/cut-off setting etc. & see if that works as well. Another thing is the vacuum/boost line etc. you may be using are possibly "****" and could be expanding and collapsing improperly. I know you said you checked but its worth another shot.

first off thanks for the reply, but the greddy pro spec 2 is a electronic boost controller..

secondly, my car is tuned perfect and it was running 1.8 bar all day everyday, till i parked it for 2 weeks and suddenly something happened, its not a matter of ecu limits or pressing the gas pedal not hard enough..

and yea ill check the vacum lines again and see if all the nuts and bols connected to the turbo are tightened aswell...
