My BBK-full is getting a rebuild as we speak... I have not spoke with my tuner yet, but from what I see 30ish psi will probably be the magic number. I ran 26psi on 91 octane all year long.

Freddie@Spec-Ops, are you talking about the wastegate/ dump from map? I'm interested in how it would affect the dynamics.

I figured that's where Freddie, was coming from back when he posted the reply. He apparently was refering to "non-divorced" , aftermarket gate/housings/dumps, that might reduce the inherent advantages of the dual-pulsed, Twin-Scroll turbine housing design.

Aight I couldn't bring myself to try out the Turbosmart WGA... went with a tried and true FP 25# WGA...

And yes, I was referring to the dump MAP makes with a turbosmart external gate where you need to wire or weld the flapper open which would negate the twin scroll effect...

So what's the best aftermarket universal wastegate actuator to use?

Personally, I like the Forced Performance, 18 PSI actuator. The older, diaphragm-style Forge actuator ain't bad either. I haven't tried the Turbosmart/MAP actuator although it looks like a nice bit of kit.

The FP has a sealed cannister so you cannot swap different rate springs. You either buy the 18 pounder, or the 25 pounder. On both the Forge and Turbosmart actuators you can disassemble the cannister and switch between different rate springs.

Anyone else install the Turbosmart actuator? Might just go with the FP if no one has any results from the TS.

This thread is such a tease...
- Stock, FP, Forge, Turbosmart, Kinugawa
- Anyone have before / after VD or at least SOP results?
