FP Green or FP Red?

Hey all, looking for some advice. Im in the market for a new turbo and i cant decide which one to go with. I would like to make 400 hp or a little more than that safely. I have an 05 gsr with AMS turboback exhaust, AMS FMIC with upper and lower piping, Walbro 255 fuel pump and an Aem meth kit. I will be buying gsc s2s,springs and retainers, toxic fab tubular exhaust manifold, arp head studs, and different injectors. I will be running 93 oct. I dont track the car just looking for a fun street car. Which turbo would you suggest a bb fp green or an fp red and which injectors? Thanks for the help

You have similar goals as me. Im stuck with 91 octane. Im leaning toward a Red or EF3. From my research Im sure you could get there with a green, but it might be easier to control the low end torque with the red. Plus you will have a little more room to grow if you get tired of 400. Just my .02

Red or ef3 and some 1250cc bluemax injectors should be a good injector with room to grow

ALSO, I don't want to hijack anyone's thread, BUT I would like to mention that I DO have a refurb EF4 on sale here...just the one...full manufacturer warranty and sold as if NEW and I am inclined to blow it out the door, so I don't have to haul it to the building during our move...I'm just THAT lazy...lol

yes it will be safe as long as you have a good tuneer who know's what he is doing.

How important is quick spool to you? Ultimately you need to decide if you want quick spool(BB Green), or opt for topend power(BB Red). The same could be said when comparing the MAP EF2, & the MAP EF3; or the CBRD BBK-Full and a CBRD BB BBK-B.

As far as engine longevity on the stock block, it also is a tradeoff. The turbos that hit hardest and thus produce the highest torque numbers are going to place more of a strain on the stock block.

If you opt for something like the Fp Red make sure that you get the BB version. I have the JB Red and I am not happy with the lazy spool at all.
I don't know of you can have your cake and eat it too.

Some guys get a mega-torque producing turbo like the Green and then have their tuner tune it for as low a torque as possible. Why get a turbo like the Green and then have your car detuned? They might as well have gotten a Red.

fp green for sure for that low power, I made that with fpgreen on 21-22psi, and stupid torque numbers

I posted on this thead yesterday, assuming I would replace my turbo in a year or so. Today I got a funny noise, pulled intake.... you guessed it. Time to decide.
