who has a exedy triple carbon ?

Ok guys my exedy triple has failed like the others you see on the forum. Now I'm trying to figure out if people are having better luck with the triple carbon and if so.. is is possible to rebuild mine to a triple carbon?

firstly pm you list of mods... those numbers are insane and i wanna know what i did wrong... lol.

i believe you can convert twin to triple/ triple to triple carbon and all other arrangements as far as i know. the pressure plate and flywheel are the same. but the hub idlers and discs need to be swapped. i used to have the contact of the guy to talk to for the parts.

call exedy for more information i guess...

I'm going to call them tomorrow but I wanted to ask how long do they usually last? cause I'm not rich and every year it seems I'm replacing a clutch.

the carbon has a diffrent flywheel then the standerd tripple its lighter and not solid but as far as i kno you can convert it i would check with exedy and i dont think its going to fix your problem.

If a triple carbon cant hook nothing can... It uses the friction and the heat to grab harder then usual. I drove a blown twin carbon for 6 months even raced it a few times. It would slip on launch but then lock down like new... Cant beat em... Peddle pressure is insane.

Well I'm pulling my trans out this morning I'm pretty sure the the hubs are stripped and I can see from the inspection hole that the center ring is starting to pull apart from the cover ill post pics

the carbon will for sure hold the power the reguler tripples have no problems holding power its just they all have issues as of recent so upgrading to a carbon would be a band aid fix not to mention they dont last very long.

dont feel bad i only got 3k out of my first tripple before the discs decided to eat there selfs ive seen 7k out of a carbon carbon before if you have money to **** away go for it but most of us want 10-20k out of our clutches the material does not grip well when cold and wears fast if your ok with that go for it but there is no guarantee it will last longer then 2100 miles its a design issue.
