Right now during the Holidays, FP will upgrade a IX turbo for only $500. I thought that you already had the used turbo. For $500 it seemed like a no brainer to me vs. the cost of bearings and seals, that's all.

Everyone is different, I would rather run a 71 HTA turbo with stock cams than a stock IX turbo with 272's. But, that is just me. The money that you will spend on aftermarket cams plus a rebuild kit, I would spend on upgrading the turbo and keep the stock cams.

I already have 264's and to be honest they aren't that aggressive!! So I would keep those in if I went green

Yeah that oughta spool great and be an awesome DD on pump gas. It's unfortunate that the BB center section for the Green is bocu bucks.

Have fun with it and don't worry about it. We'll never know if I could run with it with the same mods because I wouldn't leave my car stock. But its fine that you do.

My times have never been posted because I have done a bit of grudge racing in our area and I don't want that out there.
I'm not mad bro. ive got probably 25,000 in my car at this point. it's build for the 9's minus the cage there was 2 goals in mind building my car a 9 sec pass at 140mph.

Blue_05EVO: When i was using the stock turbo I was running Cosworth M3's and there was a few people that said they were to big... My car made 412ft/lbs so big cams really dont hurt you at all (for the most part). it's now running a 10:1 motor and an BB FP Black. and they work quite well for that too.
