It's all pretty relative I guess. I personally believe the GT35R kit that is on this car is great for a daily driver. It spools pretty quick and makes tons of top end power.

RnR GT35R Kit
3" TB
750's
Walbro
Autotronic
Big FMIC
IC pipes
etc,etc.

The load cycles are not set. So all power is baout 10% lower than they should be. We are very happy with the results and the car makes power so easily. Very very little tuning was even done on it as we were still learning to mess with the ECU.

We first started with 91 octane pump gas that we get out here in Cali.

We made 390whp on

91 octane pump gas
20psi
11 degrees of Total timing
dyno dynamics AWD dyno(suppost to red low)
11.2 A/F on dyno wide band

I believe we could have made about 430-440whp on pump, but we didn't want to push it. We just left the timing and boost real low and decided to move onto the race gas as it was real late in the day already.

On C-16 race gas we made 494.4whp, but ran into some problems we only got one run before it came to an end. We believe it ripped an IC hose or Intercooler because as you will see on the dyno graph it popped something. We immediately let off the gas as you will see on the graph.

So with no real tuning on race gas we only got one dyno pull. We will do a pressure test to see where the porblem is this week. As you can see in the graph the power was going way up and would have probably made 530whp.

We plan to make 550-570whp once we can tune the fuel and timing. We also plan to run 29psi.

made 494whp
24psi
C-16
10.9 A/F on dyno wide band
18 degress of timing
no load cyclces we set
AWD dyno dynamics dyno(low reading)
Impressive numbers, Congrats !

I'm not starting anything, have a question.

Shiv, why did you post the car made 425 hp at 29 psi and RNR is saying 494 @ 24 psi? I am curious to which it is.

10.6 at 123 mph is so good that it is almost unbelievable. The fastest DSM I have ever seen run 10.9 was at 124 mph. That was Tym and John Shepherd. Running a 10.6 at 123 is hard to swallow.

Did the car break? I mean if it was on a 130+ mph run and broke before it got to the end then it would be explainable.

What were the other two runs the car made that day?

Just curious.

I know that thread is a bear to wade through, but from what I have read it looks like the car in question blew the transfer case at around the 1000' mark. That is why the slow mph for the ET. On the other subject you KNOW what Shiv is up to.... so lets not even stir that pot

The car did blow the transfer case. I don't know if that effected the mph or not.

I am pretty sure the owner will be back at the track in a couple weeks. He just wanted to take care of few issues first.

He is trying to find a replacement transfer case before he goes back to the track. Mitsu won't warranty them anymore.

Just wanted to give you guys an update on this car as well. It is currently undergoing a huge build up. The car has gotten a lot of big name sponsors because of the success it has had. Hopefully it will be back up and running soon. The owner has some big things planned for the car.
