Question for someone running a FP HTA 71 on EVO 8
Question for someone running a FP HTA 71 on EVO 8
I am more then likely going with a FP HTA 71 for my 2005 MR, my question is for those who have then same setup on an evo 8 do you use the FP install kit that uses oil feed from oil filter, or the stock evo 9 install kit that uses stock oil feed etc. The reason I ask is #1 Price ($350 compared to $150) and #2 I had a friend with 1g that ran a Fp green with oil filter oil feed and it ended up blowing the seals on turbo.
Stock evo 9 install kit should be fine. When i upgraded to the 71 hta, the only thing i remember having to get was the evo 9 j-pipe and wastegate actuator. Might have to bend the factory 8 lines a little.
Got the 71hta here with 84mm comp housing. I decided to buy the oil feed line from FP to make sure my turbo stays happy. I used my oem evo 8 turbo coolant lines, but had to bend them a little. Evo 9 J pipe was all that was needed.
Your looking at around 400hp with all the other bolts ons/cams with the 71hta/93/28psi and around 450 on e85
Running 880cc injectors
