Well did a retune on car and came back exact same results. Dont know why disgustedpatedm3s turbos spools so much quicker. Only thing i can try is more preload but thats going to come down the road since work is consuming my life now.

 

Preload should be at least 23-24# for your 31# peak boost level. That's a minimum preload level for a 30+ PSI peak, IMO. A lot of it depends on what rate spring is in the WGA and whether or not the peak boost is flatlining, or looking to creep. If it don't have a tendency to creep or overshoot the peak level then I'd preload it up to 27-28#.

You'll need to work up to it cautiously in 2# increments, but if you preload it to 27# It'll spool like a bat outta hell. You have the MAP/Turbosmart actuator fitted with the HD spring dont you? Refresh my memory: Are you using an MBC?

Just bought a MAP 2.3 to pair up with the EF2.5 so we'll see how she spools now

 

bump- interesting in parin this EF2.5 with my full bolt on stock block- do you guys think there are better stock frame turbo options out there for us now?
