Grindy 2nd and 3rd

Hey everyone lately iv been having a grindy 2nd and 3rd gear and i cant find out wat the problem is. Iv changed the master and slave cylinder both brand new oem, changed the clutch disk and had the rest inspected and they said nothing was wrong with the clutch. The retractor pill was removed, there are no leaks, the clutch pedal was adjusted and the line was bleed about 6 times but what make me think its not the tranny is when i pump the clutch about 5 times the shift is smooth but when i stop and shift again its grindy. And when i down shift theres nothing wrong. Can someone pleassssseee help me i hate this so much and need to fix it and im all out of ideas and im trying not to spend the money to pull the tranny and find out its not the problem. If anyone has any ideas or experienced this your help would be greatly appreciated

The clutch won't cause a gear-specific grind, it's likely the sync rings.

If I had a penny for every time someone damages a sync ring.... it's common Evo issue, people drive em hard! I have a grindy 5th, already bought the sync ring & waiting for my clutch to wear out to replace both at the same time.

My tranny is trashed, 2nd, 3rd, and fifth. Try different shifting styles, slow roll into the gear, try different rpm, etc. I drive mine everyday and never grind it, if someone else drove my car I bet they would grind like crazy.

It's just a 'forum' diagnoses, but a good mechanic should be able to confirm the cause within a minute, I mentioned sync rings because it's 90% the cause of gear specific-grind & it's very common. I don't recommend driving with damaged sync rings for a long time, because they could also damage shift sleeves & they are even more expensive than sync rings.

it's not the parts that are terribly expensive, it's the labor

Yea i was looking at the rings i googled them and found that jacks transmissions website and he has the rings for 72 bucks and i have a 1 year warranty on the tranny that ends in april IF the guy wants to honor it..... Its been having problems with it since day 1 and when i bring it up it always gets pushed to the side of the conversation. At this point i really just want to sell my evo.
