Radiator Options?

I punctured my radiator while taking out the fan and I need to order a new one. Does it matter that much if the new radiator is a big name brand? I was looking on radiatorexpress.com and they have one for $160 and it has a lifetime warranty and is guaranteed to fit. Do you think it would be safe to go with something like this?

looks like a chance to upgrade... make the best of a bad situation... see if someone like Fluidyne has a radiator available... Their radiators are top notch and trusted by many...

check here for contact numbers...

How hard did you hit it to make a hole int it? What made the hole? Seems like the radiator is made of aluminum foil.

I didnt really hit it that hard I just caught it when I angeled the radiator fan to get it out. I guess lesson learned for next time I do anything around the radiator.

Really want to know about the aftermarket options on this. So far what I've found is this:

Koyo and PWR seem to be the two really popular choices.
stole the following info from other members on other threads:

-----------------------
PWR $475 - $500
OEM $750 - $800 (can you spell R-I-P-O-F-F?)
Koyo $180 - $200
--------------------------

THE CORE:
1. It has about 8 fewer channel tubes than the stock rad.
2. The tubes appear to be thicker
3. The dimensions of the core are identical to stock
4. The PWR unit is 2.5 Lbs heavier than stock according to my bathroom scale. 10 Lbs for
PWR, 7.5 lbs for stock.
5. I know nothing about the internals of either unit
---------------------------------------------

Checked Fluidyne's site...nothing for the Evo.

So what's up guys? Looks like PWR is the more popular (Vivid racing, in Phoenix--HOT, seems to prefer running this one and they do a lot of road racing)

INFO, details guys?

My understanding is that KOYO has an OE replacement and a larger "upgraded" radiator for our cars. I think people are using them interchangeably. One is in the $200's and the other in the $400's.

Koyo makes 3 models. Type-S 2 core, Type-R 3 core, Type-2 Racing 3 core. Type 2 is aluminum and others are copper. ARC makes one but is hella expensive. Pwr is 2 core also. Others are made by tuners also both 2 and 3 cores.

Doesn't RRE have a Fluidyne (one-off?) in their car?
