Umm, your right way is 3-4 hours and your wrong way is 1-2....

I have done it the "wrong" way about a dozen times, why does it make it more likely to snap a cam. the belt tension is identical to how it was previously. The only possible way a cam can snap if it siezes, and the only way that can happen is if assembly ludbe is not used(prolly doesn't matter neways), A bearing cap is over torqued(also prolly doesn;t matter to much, although Im carefull not to do it) or the wrong cap goes on the wrong spot(most likely)

NONE of those things have to do with the method of how you change it

Why do the cams are if the belt was changed?

If the belt was like at least a year old, id PROBABLY change the belt, but it hasnt even been a year yet since the evo came out.

The current belt should be fine. 3-4 hours should be it.

man we just pulled a hi-jack on this thread. i'll pm you on a meet.
i would say timed is nothing, getting it right the first time even with a little percaution is everything. see i'd rather do the timing in 3-6 hours rather then rush it. but that's just me. man but i would deffinetly try to get some money back. 'cause if i paid 300 bucks for something you bet i'll go back if it's not right.
