Does the double pumper require an FPR?

Hey guys

Will I need an adjustable FPR if I install the double pumper on a stock fuel system with 1200cc injectors on e85? I know I will need one of I go with a 400lph so that is factoring into my decision. I'd like to keep the stock FPR if I can. Thanks guys

Fred

RS: With the BR Double-Pumper, the secondary pump is staged, as opposed to some other double pumpers wherein both pumps are on full time even at idle.

Interesting thread. Never know when to get a better FPR or fuel rail for that matter.

Sktng22, from the research that I've done so far, most of the guys who go with a 400lph overrun their stock fuel system. Also, the walbro dealers/vendors have a disclaimer that says the AFPR is highly recommended with the big pump.

Don't you mean just the opposite, dan? That is, with the lower volume 255's you may need the 13.8 volts. Probably, I am not understanding your statement though.

With twin 255s a re wire is not needed. I am not saying it won't help but its not needed. Many guys running without a rewire. There is plenty of fuel in the system.

400+lph pumps seem to need one. Why I don't know. Maybe the pump is drawing to much for the factory wire? Or is requiring more volts to run properly? Again Idk
