Will the 4 puck and 6 puck shift just as good but with increased TQ holding capacity?

I would say since the burn down yes it has some lock out now Not crazy but it does. I have about 200mi on the road course, 3000mi on the street and around 25 1/4mi passes.

Yes the 6 puck and 4 puck will hold more TQ but the amount of extra heat created from those pucked clutches warp a single plate much faster then a full face disc does.

So would you say its locking out because you launched it 11 times in 1 day( specially the 4 last laps) ? Or is the clutch just not as durable as you had hoped for launching?

Guess its a combo. I was trying to abuse it to see what it could take and I found out. Really was not the 11 passes it was 4 Passes with in less then 30min I did.

I Feel any car on Green or smaller turbo on a stock trans the clutch would live a pretty happy life at the drag strip. My 4.0 final drive is murder on clutches.

Still going to the road course this Sun with the clutch. Will report back again.

Did 150mi around the road course in Seattle this Sunday. Turned a new PB for a lap time and the track and the clutch did great all day.

That is not a common issue with this clutch.

That was only because of the added abuse of the 4.0 FD with a 2.0L instead of the 2.4 that had been in the car. Its fine on the street but after it heats up from launching after 100 passes it can be tempermental. If you are a stock FD and a 2.0L or 2.4 it will be a non issue.

Drives the same and shifts the same, holds up longer to abuse than the twin SD will. That particular clutch is not that great in our application though. Even the HD only holds up to 40-50 launches.

I know they were both weighed in the same manner but why is the scale on a tarp and not a flat surface?

Is this a good replacement for the stock clutch? Is the pedal not too heavy for DD duty?

I got my Evo cheap - slightly crashed - and it's my everyday drive. I don't really push it (got my bike for that) and I'm more interested in life and fewer parts/labor costs. Should I look at something else?
