i have Evo 9 MR
and suddenly i start to hear a weird whining sound that's probably from the back
it gets louder as i accelerate , its noticed around 40Km/h and higher ,
the sound gets higher in pitch as i go to a higher gear plus i hear a grinding sound , and it starts to be coming from the front
and when i put it into neutral i hear that whine sound as i decelerate .

what would be the problem with ?!!

BTW : if i shift gears fast i feel a bump from the back of the car and it freaks me out ,
some one said that its normal, i dont think so ,
is it really normal ?!

 

Look up death whine or transfer case whine. Sounds like it might be that.

 

Sounds like another transfer case is in your future.

is there any possible chance of anything else ?
other than the t-case ?
could be the oil ?

I can tell from first hand experience that your transfer case/tranny or both could be toast. If the whine gets louder as you accelerate then that's excactly what happened to me, mine happen to be a tranny (4th gear) issue. trust me those repairs are not cheap. does your transfer leak at all?. as other members said if your experiencing the death whine its a major friction issue aka lack of oil and overheating.
