I believe its 2,000$ for a ported BBK-Full. Im not sure how much it costs if you send in a core but obviously much less. The bbk-Full and BBK-B are pretty similar in spool i think you only loose about 200rpm, depending on what the guy above is selling his BBK-B for that would be a really nice turbo for you to pick up and easily hit your HP goals.

who makes this 25g that you mentioned for $1000? I don't think you can go wrong with a used bbk - full , it has great spool up which is what you want for road racing. You don't usually see bbk turbos up for sale very often because most people keep them. There great turbos and very durable, but you can't go wrong with a fp or map stock fram turbo either.

What you are asking for isn't cheap. You will pay a fair amount for the best turbo for your needs, especially one that has been proven to perform and last.

I'm sure you can find some turbos on eBay for a great price with a warranty too, doesn't mean it's the wisest decision.

Lol ya I know. But then the question is alwes brought up. What do you really need to make the power you want.. Vers what is believed to be needed. I am not shooting for craze numbers. 400 WHP is not crazy numbers.

So here is a good question. Lets say I don't pay 1600+ for a BBK or FP green.. Lets say I go with the 25g ( about a 1000 ) and spend 300 to 500 on a set of cams...

Whould that not be better to get me running or the season and switch out turbos for next season..

Mitsubishi Heavy prices have gone through the roof, so if you see any so called 20G and 25G upgrades for $1000 or so, chances are good that it did not come from MHI but is a Chinese knock off. I'm not saying they don't work or can't work or will tear up or will burn your house down or whatever, but I do have a problem with products that lie about their origen. If it were me, I wouldn't booger up a perfectly good turbo from MHI by mating it with parts of unknown origen. I'd either sell it whole to a 3G/4G Eclipse or Lancer guy and buy a used 9 turbo or buy something from a reputable shop like FP.

Kinugawa turbos are ebay turbos. Save up and get a quality turbo like a BBK or an FP Green. Just remember the three rules of modding. Cheap, reliable, fast pick two.
